Ever walked barefoot on a hardwood floor and felt heat between your toes? Warm floors are just one of the benefits of radiant heating. Hellgate Plumbing and Heating specializes in installing radiant heating systems in Missoula, as well as service to existing radiant heat systems, in Missoula and surrounding communities.

Which Radiant System is best suited for your home?

CONCRETE FLOORS

In lower levels, basements and garages, tubing is tied to the reinforcement mesh before the slab is poured. Radiant heating is very easy and cost effective to install in concrete.

POURED FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT

In lower levels, basements and garages, tubing is embedded in a thin concrete layer over the subfloor. Best used when adding radiant heat to an existing structure.

SUSPENDED FLOORS

Radiant heat tubing rests in the space between the floor and a subfloor. This installation method works well in areas where the floor is being replaced, but the there is not access to the floor joist. This type of radiant heat allows for more ability to set temperature lower during the night or unoccupied times.

BETWEEN THE JOISTS

In this type of radiant system, the lines are suspended in the space between floor joists. In this method, as with suspended floor radiant systems, the radiant system may use slightly more energy, as there is more air space to be heated.
